Ingredients:
- 1 slice whole-grain bread
- 1/2 avocado, mashed
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Toast the whole-grain bread until golden brown.
- Spread mashed avocado on the toast and season with salt and pepper.
- Poach the egg in simmering water for about 3-4 minutes until the white is set but the yolk is still runny.
- Place the poached egg on top of the avocado toast.
- Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley.
- Serve immediately.
